For Young People

Your experiences and ideas can help us improve ‘rainbow’ (i.e. LGBTQI and Questioning, or sexual/gender minority) Chinese mental health and wellbeing…

We are interested in your thoughts, experiences, and ideas about what helps rainbow Chinese young people to thrive and what causes them stress or strain, as well as your views about what can be done to support them in counselling or therapy situations.

If you are a rainbow Chinese person between 16 and 29 years old, with or without experience with or understanding of mental health services…

We would like you to participate in a confidential interview

This will be held in the University of Auckland, or a private location that suits you. The interview will take about one hour (less if needed to fit your timetable) to complete and will be held at a time that is convenient for you. You can choose to use either English or Mandarin Chinese to communicate during the interview. Some food will be provided and a $30 voucher will also be given to you at the end of discussion as a thanks.

All information you provide in the discussion will be confidential and no identifying information will appear in any reports or publications out of this study.

If you would like to participate, please contact Szu-Ying (Xavier) and he will send you further information and arrange a time for the interview with you.
